Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri discussed his side’s upcoming Serie A clash against Lazio on Saturday when speaking to gathered reporters at a press conference earlier today. His words were collected by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Lazio are an excellent team who have been fighting for something important for several years, now they have to play against Bayern Munich, but Saturday will be a beautiful, difficult and exciting game.

They want to do well, but so do we. Inzaghi is doing an unbelievable job, he has four strikers and among them Immobile, who is an immense player, but also the others alternate well and those two mezzali, Milinkovic and Luis Alberto, who would be good in any European team.

He touched on the Biancocelesti’s last match in the league, a 3-1 loss to Inter.

They’re a good team, solid and playing well, I saw the match against Inter where they were doing well, then of course with Lukaku like that Inter were right to win but they impressed me.

It won’t be like the first meeting at all, I expect a different game.

Finally, Ranieri looked ahead to Saturday’s match against Lazio.

We know we’ll suffer, we need to play a perfect match, we’re coming from a good moment, now the commitment will be higher because we find a team that is confident because even with absences, whoever comes on instead knows what they have to do.

We will have to play our game and try to score goals, making life difficult for them.
