Sampdoria Defender Augello: “I Don’t Know if Lazio Are Interested in Me, I Don’t Believe It”

Sampdoria defender Tommaso Augello discussed the Ligurian side’s 3-0 win over Lazio earlier this season and any possible interest from the Biancocelesti in him in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

It was an amazing day, the most amazing day for Sampdoria. Winning 3-0 against a great team like Lazio was gratifying and unforgettable. This, however, is another game.

Before the corner, we were close with Jankto and I asked him to move to the right. The ball arrived where I was. I hit it well, with the outside of my neck. It was an unstoppable shot.

He looked ahead to this weekend’s meeting with the Roman club and if they are interested in signing him.

I wanted to give the captain an assist and on a special occasion that’s even more important. I’ll always remember that moment.

I’m expecting a different kind of game this weekend, they had many absences in Genoa. They look much fitter and they’ll certainly field their best team.

Has there been any interest from Lazio in me? I don’t know, but I don’t think it’s true.
