Video: Lazio Forward Correa: “I Wanted to Return the Fans’ Affection on the Pitch”

Lazio forward Joaquin Correa discussed his life and move to Rome in an interview with Italian broadcaster Lazio Style Channel earlier today, as seen on the club’s Instagram page.

It has been a beautiful, hard and important path. I left home when I was 11 years old, so it was always normal for me to change everything quickly, to move away from the family.

It was difficult when I started, but now I’m very happy to be here.

The Biancocelesti forward then touched on his arrival on Rome.

I arrived at the airport very late, but there were a lot of people waiting for me. That surprised me and made me want to get out on the pitch and show off and return the affection.

The 26-year-old Argentinian forward, who is contracted to the Roman club until 2024, has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1616 minutes.

In that time, he has scored four goals and provided four assists.
