Lazio Primavera’s Tyro Nimmermeer Set to Sign a Contract With FC Paços de Ferreira

Lazio will see a departure from its youth system, as 19-year-old striker Tyro Nimmermeer will leave the Italian side and head to Portugal this summer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the teenager will sign a contract with FC Paços de Ferreira, who is currently doing well in the Primeira Liga and has their eyes on finishing in a European competition spot.

Nimmermeer’s contract expires in June, so his move to Paços de Ferreira will be on a free transfer; all that’s left is for the player to put pen to paper and sign his contract to begin his professional career. Furthermore, the teenager’s contract will have a €25 million clause for any future resale.

The Netherland international’s venture into Portuguese football will see him rely on his agent and Portugal native Jorge Mendes, who runs GestiFute, a player agency.

Since joining the Biancocelesti’s Primavera side in 2018 from AZ Alkmaar’s youth system, Nimmermeer has made 37 appearances where he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
