Lazio goalkeeper Pepe Reina is certainly ready to face off against FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
This tie against Bayern will be somewhat of a homecoming for Reina. The Spanish goalkeeper spent one season with the Bavarian powerhouse. Although he wound up only making three appearances in all competitions over the season, he did add a Bundesliga win to his trophy cabinet.
Now, Reina is preparing to battle against some of his former teammates, including the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.
As Reina posted on his official Instagram account, he is ready for this challenge against the reigning Bundesliga winners.
Motivated and with a lot of desire to face the best team in the world right now. Come on guys. We deserved it.
Reina is just coming off of a performance against Sampdoria in league play where while he did not record a save in the match, Lazio did go on to clinch the 1-0 clean sheet win.
