Former Lazio forward Bruno Giordano discussed tonight’s Champions League clash between the Biancocelesti and Bayern Munich in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster TMW Radio earlier today.
Defensively Bayern offer a lot, at least 2-3 clear-cut chances. I would have preferred Bayern to have more confidence.
It’s true that they’re missing 3-4 important players, but they have such a large squad that they can make up for it with reserves. I think Lazio will play a great game.
Giordano then touched on the duel between Lazio star Ciro Immobile and Bayern talisman Robert Lewandowski.
The numbers speak for themselves. They have made the fortunes of their teams. Immobile took Lazio to the brink of something unthinkable, the other took Bayern to the roof of the world.
They are two extraordinary players, not only for the goals but for the game they express. They both work for the team. Bayern offer a lot defensively, so Immobile can make the biggest impact in this match. Lewandowski will find very tight spaces.
