Lazio defender Mateo Musacchio will start alongside Francesco Acerbi and Patric in the defense against Bayern Munich in their Champions League Round of 16 clash this evening, according to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today.

The report details how coach Simone Inzaghi confirmed his defense in today’s training session in Formello, deciding to give 30-year-old Argentinian Musacchio his first European start this campaign.

Acerbi will be on the centre and Patric on the right, ahead of Spanish veteran Pepe Reina. The only change from the weekend’s starting 11 will be Manuel Lazzari starting in the left wing back role, with Adam Marusic moving to the right side.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto will start in midfield, with Joaquin Correa and Ciro Immobile up front.

Tonight’s opponents, Bayern Munich, are dealing with many absences from both Covid-19 cases and injuries, including Benjamin Pavard and Thomas Muller.
