Lazio is just coming off of the tough 4-1 loss to FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
Bayern dominated from the opening stages of the match. A Robert Lewandowski goal gave Bayern an early 1-0 lead and the Bundesliga powerhouse did not look back from there.
Lazio midfielder Gonzalo Escalante took some time to reflect on the loss via his Instagram account. The Argentine talent did not provide any excuses for the defeat but acknowledged that Lazio went up against a dominant force in Bayern.

By the time Escalante stepped onto the pitch, Lazio was already trailing 4-1 in the match. The Argentine midfielder did go on to complete 30 passes and one long ball against Bayern.
Lazio will have an opportunity to complete a comeback in the tie over in the return leg next month.
