Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto is calling for the side to remain united following the loss to FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
Lazio struggled on both ends of the pitch in the match. The Biancocelesti was unable to muster up high percentage goal-scoring chances while defensive errors allowed for Bayern to score multiple goals.
Alberto made the start for Lazio in its midfield setup. The Spanish playmaker created five goal-scoring chances, completed five dribble attempts and won nine ground duels in the match.
Following the loss, Alberto posted a message on his Instagram account urging Lazio to remain together through this difficult defeat.
It’s time to be united. We are a team, in good times and especially in bad times. Together we will move forward. We have to raise our heads and work now for the next game.
Lazio will take on Bayern in the return leg next month.
