Lazio’s Match Against Torino Next Week in Doubt Due to Many Positive Covid-19 Cases

Lazio’s Serie A clash against Torino next week is at risk of being postponed due to many positive cases of Covid-19 in the Granata squad, according to a report from Italian media outlet Cittaceleste earlier today.

The report details how the Turin based side decided to suspend their training session yesterday due to the increasing amounts of positive Covid-19 cases being discovered in the squad.

Currently there are six players who have tested positive, plus a doubtful test, as well as a member of the club’s medical staff, the report continues.

The Turin Local Health Authority has decided to cancel Friday night’s match against Sassuolo and next Tuesday’s trip to Rome to face the Biancocelesti is now also in doubt.

There are fears that it is a variant of the standard Covid-19 and so the Local Health Authority has already ordered a week of isolation.

Updates from Lega Serie A are expected over the coming hours.
