Injured Lazio defenders Stefan Radu and Luiz Felipe are still expected to be out for a number of weeks, according to a report from Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) earlier today.

The report details how the 34-year-old Romanian centre back, who is contracted to the Roman club until the end of the season, is still recovering from inguinal hernia surgery.

The player initially hoped to return in time for the return leg against Bayern Munich on the 17th March, but may look to speed up his recovery so he is fit in time for the clash against Crotone five days earlier.

Regarding the 23-year-old Brazilian Luiz Felipe, he is still recovering from ankle surgery and he is expected to return to the squad at the end of next month, although he won’t take to the pitch until the 3rd April, against Spezia.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is now studying the best options for the defense after this week’s painful 4-1 loss to Bayern.
