Lazio Coach Inzaghi Rallies Squad After Loss to Bayern: “No Defeat Can Divide Us”

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi rallied the squad together yesterday at Formello after their painful 4-1 loss to Bayern Munich earlier this week, according to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today.

The report details how the 44-year-old Italian coach waited 48 hours to talk to the squad, not wanting to be unclear or unhelpful with his comments after the disappointing result against the Bavarian side on Tuesday.

Inzaghi looked to rally the squad together yesterday, ahead of their league clash against Bologna on Saturday, where a win is necessary in order to keep up pressure in the top four race.

The Biancocelesti coach gave a speech to the team, saying:

No defeat in the world needs to stop us or divide us. It will serve as a lesson, to become better you have to play against the best.

We are strong and united like a real family.

The Roman club will travel to Germany on the 17th March to play the return leg against Bayern.
