Lazio Primavera coach Leonardo Menichini discussed the Roman club’s 2-1 loss to Cagliari Primavera in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Lazio Style Radio (via LazioNews24) earlier today.
It’s a difficult moment, delicate, we are missing important players, some elements are not at their best but I’m not looking for excuses.
We have to be more careful, against Cagliari we gave away two goals, something like that can’t happen against any opponent, otherwise it becomes very hard.
We need more concentration and determination in certain moments of the match, we conceded the second goal just seconds before the end of the first half. At the moment it’s not looking good for us.
The guys are disappointed, all in all we played a good game, going into stoppage time trailing became a mountain impossible to climb, especially mentally. We have to rely on the strength of the squad to reverse the trend.
We mustn’t look at the standings but think match by match, always playing at our best. Episodes in football think at all levels.
