Torino may have to field their Primavera squad against Lazio next week due to the many positive cases of Covid-19 in the squad, according to a report from Italian newspaper Tuttosport earlier today.

The report details how today’s Covid-19 tests revealed a new case of the virus, bringing the total to 10 positive cases now between the playing squad and the staff.

The Piedmont Local Health Authority has put a stop to the team’s training sessions and Lega Serie A have decided to postpone their match against Sassuolo tomorrow, the report continues.

Lega Serie A’s rules state that a team cannot postpone two matches and so Torino may be forced to field their Primavera squad against the Biancocelesti on Tuesday next week.

Club President Urbano Cairo is strongly opposed to this idea, however, and is ready to contest this idea in the various sporting courts, looking at the precedent set by the Napoli case earlier this season.
