The Torino squad will undergo a new round of Covid-19 tests today and if all tests come back negative, then the team can return to training in preparation for next week’s match against Lazio, according to a report from Italian media outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.com earlier today.
The report details how seven Granata players and two staff members have tested positive for the virus in recent days, with the tests confirming that the contagion is the English variant of the virus.

The Piedmont Local Health Authority has already stopped the team from training in recent days and their match against Sassuolo, originally scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed until next month.
This also means Torino’s match against Lazio, scheduled for Tuesday next week, is also at risk of being postponed, with today’s tests proving decisive in deciding whether the team can play or not.
Torino are currently 17th in the league table, having won only one of their last five league outings, drawing the other four.
