Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin thought it would be a tight battle for 4th in the Serie A table this season.

Speaking to Italian radio broadcaster TMW Radio earlier today, he highlighted which teams are in the battle for 4th and which teams are not.

Atalanta, Milan and Inter are all ahead for me. Atalanta held their own against Real Madrid as 10 men, the values are all there. Atalanta are leading the table in direct matches.

If they hadn’t dropped points against the smaller teams and didn’t have the Gomez case, who knows where they would be.

When they want to win, Atalanta win. There will be a great fight for fourth place with Juve, Napoli, Lazio and Roma all fighting it out. Juve v Lazio will be decisive.

Lazio will face Juventus this weekend for the second time this season. In their last meeting, the game ended 1-1, with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Felipe Caicedo.
