Lazio’s Match Against Torino Tomorrow May Be Postponed Until Wednesday

Lazio’s league match against Torino tomorrow evening could be postponed until Wednesday due to the many positive cases of Covid-19 in the squad.

According to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia (via LazioNews24) earlier today, Lega Serie A are considering postponing the fixture between the Biancocelesti and the Granata by a day due to the Turin based club’s Covid-19 situation.

Eight players are missing from the squad after testing positive for the virus last week, and their match against Sassuolo on the weekend was already postponed due to the cases.

Due to this, Lega Serie A are considering postponing the game to Wednesday evening instead of tomorrow evening, giving Torino a few extra hours to prepare for the game and return to the pitch after the end of the isolation period imposed by the Local Health Authority, which expires at midnight on Tuesday.

In order for this to happen, all of the Torino players’ Covid-19 tests today have to come back negative.
