Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino reiterated his desire to see Lazio’s game against Torino go ahead as scheduled tomorrow, despite the many positive cases of Covid-19 in the squad.
Speaking with Italian radio broadcaster Rai Gr Parlamento (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), he touched on the League’s position regarding the potential postponement of tomorrow’s clash between the Granata and the Biancocelesti.
Our position has always been to play the match, we have always supported it. We have signed a health protocol with the government in order to give continuity to the season, but we need constant collaboration from the Local Health Authorities, something we have always had.
For us, the game must be played, but if the Local Health Authority has an extremely hard and restrictive attitude, we must evaluate on the basis of what unfortunately was the decision of the Collegio di Garanzia del Coni, which created a precedent with the Juventus v Napoli case.
