Lazio Assistant Coach Farris: “Great Desire to Get the Three Points Against Torino”

Lazio assistant coach Massimiliano Farris highlighted the team’s desire to return to winning ways after two defeats in a row yesterday.

Speaking in the Biancocelesti’s matchday programme (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), he first touched on the strengths of their next opponents, Torino.

With Giampaolo they had a certain idea, now they have found consistency in their results. With Nicola they are still undefeated and they are very tough, this is part of their DNA. They manage to fight on every match.

Torino are at the bottom of the table and they will be eager for revenge. Every match against them has been decided by moments, we have a great desire for immediate redemption after the Bologna match. The guys will be ready for it.

Farris then discussed how tiring the Champions League is and the team’s desire to bounce back well.

All the teams that play in the cups know that in the match after the Champions League there is a risk, both as regards the result and the performance, and as regards injuries. The big teams risk more in this type of match.

With the exception of the match against Bayern Munich, Lazio’s performances have not been opaque, against the Germans there was important data on a physical level.

Despite everything, however, we have won seven games in the last nine and everyone would be willing to repeat a similar performance in the next nine games.

We paid the price in Bologna, but if Lazio lose two games in a row, they always have a poisoned tooth. We have a great desire to get back on the pitch and get the three points.
