Lazio defender Stefan Radu is working hard to be fit in time for this weekend’s match against Juventus, although his return may be delayed until the match after against Crotone.
According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 34-year-old Romanian defender is recovering from a hernia operation and is hoping to be in the squad for the upcoming match against the Bianconeri on Saturday.

Considering the seriousness of the operation and current defensive crisis, Radu’s return will not be rushed and so may be delayed until the 12th March, for the match against Crotone.
Coach Simone Inzaghi will not bet on Mateo Musacchio to replace Radu in the starting 11, and so the third centre back will be either Patric or Marco Parolo, who’ll play alongside Francesco Acerbi and Wesley Hoedt.
Radu has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season for Lazio, for a total of 1427 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist and helped the side keep six clean sheets.
