Formello: Lazio’s Marusic Trained Separately but Expected to Start Against Juventus

Lazio wing back Adam Marusic trained separately today in Formello, although he is still expected to start against Juventus this weekend.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 28-year-old Montenegrin is slightly fatigued and so underwent separate stretches today alongside Nicolo Armini.

With Manuel Lazzari’s injury sidelining him for around two weeks, Marusic will be key on the right side of the pitch for coach Simone Inzaghi, and so his condition will be closely monitored this week.

Senad Lulic and Mohamed Fares are competing for a starting spot against the Bianconeri. Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva trained regularly with the squad, with his physical condition also being closely monitored.

Stefan Radu continued to train separately as well, and the next 48 hours will be decisive in determining the chances of his return to the squad.
