Italian Journalist Zuccala on Lazio-Torino: “Somehow, the Match Will Have to be Played Out”

Lazio is just coming off of the coronavirus-related controversy regarding its fixture against Torino. The Italian sides were set to face off for a key Serie A fixture on Tuesday, but the match did not happen due to Torino still being in quarantine following a coronavirus outbreak within its team.

Italian journalist Franco Zuccala sees that at some point down the line over this season, the two will end up having their scheduled fixture, which is what has ended up transpiring with the Juventus and Napoli coronavirus-related fixture dilemma.

More so, as he told TuttoMercatoWeb, Zuccala believes that the two Italian clubs will need to put aside differences in order to have the match played later this season.

I think somehow, the match will have to be played out. Everyone can have COVID-related issues and then you would have to have some solidarity. In sports, once there was fair play and it would have been a case solved before it started. Now, instead, there are so many interests.

It will be interesting to see on how this matter will play out over this season.
