Juventus Coach Andrea Pirlo: “I Don’t Know if Morata Will Start Against Lazio”

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo was unsure if Spanish forward Alvaro Morata would be able to start against Lazio in this weekend’s league clash.

Speaking to gathered reporters in a press conference yesterday (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the 41-year-old Italian coach first spoke about Morata’s condition and if he’ll be in the starting eleven against Lazio.

I don’t know, it was already a lot to play him today for half an hour. Now he’ll need to do some training but the goal tonight will give him great energy after this turbulent period.

We’re happy that he’s back and we’re sure he’ll be able to give us a great contribution.

Pirlo then touched on the condition of Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt as well as a few other absent players.

I hope to have a few players available, a few are starting to run again and I hope they will be back with the group in the next few days.

De Ligt took a kick to the calf in Verona that injured him a little and he was unable to play tonight.
