Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt is working hard to be fit for this weekend’s league clash against Lazio.
According to a report by Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 21-year-old Dutch defender was ruled out of yesterday’s 3-0 win over Spezia due to a calf injury.

However, after carrying out medical tests today, it has been confirmed that De Ligt has not suffered a muscle injury. The 21-year-old Dutch centre back’s condition will be monitored daily, but it seems likely that he will start on Saturday in this very important Serie A clash.
The former Ajax man has made 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Bianconeri, for a total of 1726 minutes. In that time, he has picked up five yellow cards and helped the side keep nine clean sheets.
