This fixture will provide Lazio with a monumental test in its journey to a top-four spot in the league table. The Biancocelesti could very well climb the table with a win over the reigning Serie A champions coupled with a few favourable results from other fixtures on the matchday.

Former Italian midfielder Guido Onor sees (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) this match as a key opportunity for Lazio.

It will be an open game. I don’t think the fact that it didn’t play against Torino could have given Lazio an advantage in terms of any rest it may have gained.

I don’t dislike this Lazio team. In my opinion, it has often been unlucky.

There is already now much anticipation for the upcoming summer transfer window, which Onor views as a pivotal chance for Lazio’s board to improve the team.

What is certain is that Lotito should have more courage in the market. Among the Biancocelesti, there are above average players. Apart from Immobile, in my opinion, the midfield is well built. I also think Correa is an excellent player.

It will be interesting to see the plans that Lazio has to shore up depth issues within its team.
