Formello: Lazio Coach Inzaghi Develops Alternative Defensive Plan for Juventus Clash

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi has developed an alternative plan for tomorrow’s match against Juventus.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 44-year-old Italian coach is planning on deploying wing back Adam Marusic in the back three, alongside Patric and Francesco Acerbi.

The Biancocelesti would then start with Mohamed Fares as the left wing back and Senad Lulic as the right wing back, leaving other options like Mateo Musacchio and Wesley Hoedt on the bench.

Inzaghi has not used this line-up in a game before but is confident of its effectiveness against the Bianconeri, and it can be easily changed as the game progresses depending on the substitutions he makes.

Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro has been working on his ability to play left wing back in training this week and could also be an option.

Stefan Radu trained separately again today, although he’s expected to return to the squad for the match against Crotone.

Thomas Strakosha trained regularly with the squad today, but the assumption is that Inzaghi will still start Pepe Reina tomorrow.
