Lazio Has Conceded a Total of 9 Goals Over 3 Consecutive Fixtures for the First Time Since 2013

During the 2020-21 season, Lazio’s defensive play has been one of the worst in the last decade.

This comes as a surprise, especially considering that the Biancocelesti have been known for having sides that are sound defensively and won’t commit mistakes to beath themselves; however, this campaign has been a difficult one to endure.

Lazio’s last three fixtures highlight how bad the squad has been defensively this season. Lazio Page produced the news that the Rome-based club has allowed nine goals in its last three fixtures.

This stretch of terrible defensive play from Lazio is the worst since 2013. In that time, they allowed nine goals in their fixtures that included a 4-0 loss to Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana, a 2-1 loss to Udinese in Serie A and a 4-1 loss to Juventus (but this time in the league).

Furthermore, in their last five matches, Simone Inzaghi’s side has conceded 12 goals. As a result, Lazio has only won one of their previous five games and is quickly falling out of the race for a top-four finish in Serie A.
