Formello: Lazio’s Radu Returns to Regular Squad Training Ahead of Crotone Clash

Lazio defender Stefan Radu trained regularly with the squad today, ahead of Friday’s league clash against Crotone.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 34-year-old Romanian centre back took part in regular training with the Biancocelesti squad today at Formello, even taking part in exercises involving the ball.

Radu has almost fully completed his recovery after undergoing surgery on an inguinal hernia on the 18th February, the report continues.

Coach Simone Inzaghi seems likely to start the 34-year-old defender on Friday, allowing Francesco Acerbi to return to the middle of the backline.

Rested from today’s training session were Acerbi, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Adam Marusic and Lucas Leiva, with Manuel Lazzari still recovering from a right calf injury. The tired players are likely to return to training tomorrow or on Wednesday.

The Biancocelesti have three more training sessions, including Thursday’s final session, to prepare for the upcoming clash against Crotone.
