Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha will get a chance to prove himself against Crotone on Friday.

According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 25-year-old Albanian shot stopper has been training well in recent weeks and is likely to start against the Calabrian side this week.

Spanish veteran Pepe Reina has started practically every match since October, but has seemingly showed some drops in recent weeks, especially against Juventus on Saturday, and so Inzaghi is ready to see if Strakosha can prove his value.

The 25-year-old Strakosha’s current contract expires in 2022 and extension talks are currently on hold after his limited playing time this campaign.

The situation is now fairly complicated, as Lazio are waiting to see his performances in the remaining games of the season, whilst the player wants to understand if he’ll be the starter for the future, and if not then he’ll ask for a transfer away this summer.
