After a lengthy winning streak that pushed Lazio right back in contention for a top-four spot in the Serie A table, the Biancocelesti is now back outside the top-six due to its recent sluggish form.

Lazio had golden opportunities to pick up wins against the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus, but the side fell in both matches by a 3-1 final score.

Former Italian midfielder Angelo Di Livio notes (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) that Lazio’s showing against Juventus showed that the side is simply not playing up to its potential.

It was a big disappointment. Lazio’s quality has been lacking, especially the higher quality players.

With Lazio now in the stretch run of its league campaign, the side surely is in need of another lengthy winning streak in order to get back into the discussion for a top-four spot in the league table.
