Italian journalist Fabrizio Casinelli took a deep look on Lazio’s recent form in all competitions.

After riding a notable undefeated streak in Serie A play, a run of lackadaisical performances has the Biancocelesti back in seventh place in the league standings. Lazio has had key opportunities to turn its form around in matches against the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan, but the side failed to pick up such wins.

Casinelli (via Cittaceleste) sees multiple factors for Lazio’s recent struggles, such as with some of Simone Inzaghi’s questionable managerial decisions.

I think that perhaps Inzaghi has lost his grip on the situation. The doubt about his future may have affected the players as well.

The way they left the points in Turin made me think. As if the penalty kick not awarded for Hoedt’s hand had coincided with a surrender. There are several things I am not understanding about Inzaghi’s choices and how this team has been built.

Lazio surely needs a good run of results in order to reel in confidence at this point in the season.
