Lazio are planning to strengthen their defense in the upcoming summer transfer window, but much depends on where they finish this season.
According to a report from Italian radio broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the Roman club are not planning on permanently signing Wesley Hoedt, and Argentine defender Mateo Musacchio’s contract will not be extended past this season.

Francesco Acerbi’s contract renewal is practically complete, Luiz Felipe will be a staple of the future and Stefan Radu may even sign a one-year contract extension.
There is also uncertainty over Patric’s future, and so the Biancocelesti are looking to bolster their backline this summer, although a top four finish gives the club significantly better financial capabilities than missing out on Europe.

Lazio have already essentially signed 20-year-old Serbian Dimitrije Kamenović from Čukarički, but are also looking for another young and promising defender as well, with the defense clearly being Lazio’s weakest department.
