Ciro Immobile called last season’s Golden Boot award win the new top highlight of his current run with Lazio.
Immobile scored 36 goals over the 2019/2020 campaign as he went on to win the Golden Boot award for the first time in his career. This win was a special one as he edged out stars like Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo en route to claiming the illustrious goal-scoring award.
As Immobile answered to RTL 102.5 (via Corriere dello Sport), this award win is the top moment of his Lazio career so far.
Absolutely. The award gives me the desire to do something more and look to the future with confidence.
Out of the 36 goals scored last season, there were a few that stood out to the forward.
There are a couple of them. The one against Inter because we were coming from 10 victories in a row and we had to go first in the standings and then the one in Naples with which I reached Higuain with 36 goals.
Immobile will look to cap off another 20-goal league campaign over this season.
