Former Italian forward Renzo Garlaschelli lauded Ciro Immobile for his top-class goal-scoring prowess.

Immobile was finally honored with the 2019/2020 Golden Boot award on Wednesday. Over yesterday, many took the time to reflect on this accomplishment from the Italian forward, who scored 36 goals last season in a historic goal-scoring campaign.

As Garlaschelli told Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Golden Boot award win for Immobile much deserving.

Immobile is an extraordinary player; he scored a lot of goals. The Golden Shoe is well deserved.

Many certainly aspire to see Immobile carry over his top goal-scoring form with Lazio over to the Italian national team. Garlaschelli sees that Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini must work to get the best out of Immobile with Italy.

I don’t know the real reasons for the difference in his performance between Lazio and the national team; he’s a player who has a lot of experience in the competition. I think it’s more a matter between him and Mancini.

The Lazio star certainly has what it takes to become a top goal-scorer with the Italian national team as well.
