Roma coach Paulo Fonseca’s wife, Katerina, revealed that the Giallorossi coach was furious after the derby loss to Lazio earlier this season.

Speaking to the Ukrainian press (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, Katerina Fonseca revealed Paulo’s fury after January’s 3-0 loss to the Biancocelesti.

Paulo is not the kind of coach who is euphoric after a win and depressed after a defeat, even though he always demands a lot. After the derby against Lazio, he was upset and bitter.

Against Lazio it’s always crucial, there’s a lot of rivalry, a crazy intensity. On both sides you always want to win. Because of the result, Paulo was very disappointed.

Fonseca’s Roma faces his former side Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg this evening.

The Giallorossi are currently seven points ahead of their intercity rivals, sitting in 4th spot in the league table.
