Lazio Striker Caicedo: “Win Wasn’t Just Down to Me, It’s Thanks to Everyone’s Work”

Lazio striker Felipe Caicedo was happy to earn the three points in today’s 3-2 win over Crotone.

Speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) after the game, the 32-year-old Ecuadorian forward discussed his winning goal and the match against the Calabrian side.

The win came thanks to everyone’s work. I was lucky enough to find the ball in the box at the last minute and put it in. It wasn’t just down to me.

All the teams had difficulties. It’s a difficult moment for us, we were coming from several defeats. Our group is strong because of that.

Today we were men and humble and we brought the victory home. The coach has decided that the starters are others, but I work to find space with my head down.

Caicedo, who is contracted to the Biancocelesti until 2022, scored his seventh league goal of this Serie A campaign, proving himself to be a game changing substitute on multiple occasions.
