Andreas Pereira arrived at Lazio on loan from Manchester United FC as the 25-year-old searched for a permanent place in European football. For Lazio, it was an intelligent investment; perhaps they’d get something out of the Brazil international for the 2020-21 season.

However, with a few months left in the season, it doesn’t seem as though Pereira will remain in Rome for much longer. Furthermore, Man United doesn’t appear as a viable place either.

ESPN reports that even if Lazio decides not to retain Pereira, he will seek another move away from Old Trafford due to the lack of opportunities. With Lazio, Pereira has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Rome-based club, registering one goal and two assists.

In Serie A fixtures, the 25-year-old barely receives time as a starter, with two of his 17 appearances coming as a starter, per SofaScore. Also, Pereira is averaging 19 minutes per game this season in Serie A, so both parties will likely part ways in June.
