As the 2020-21 season reaches its final months, one of Lazio’s apparent weaknesses is its ability to find the back of the net. The Biancocelesti have one of the better strikers in the world; however, when the 31-year-old striker hits a cold streak, it shows how much they depend on him.
This summer, Lazio could be in the market for an attacker to provide scoring depth to their squad. One name that Simone Inzaghi’s side could be targeting is FC Crotone’s Junior Messias.
La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that the Rome-based club is monitoring the Brazil international. Having recently played Crotone, it comes as no surprise that this rumour is beginning to circulate.
Messias must have shown something to the Lazio brass that he could be a summer option. Furthermore, Crotone is heading to Serie B at this point, and the club could be looking to sell the forward. The 30-year-old has made 63 appearances and has scored 13 goals and 12 assists over this period.
