Bayern Munich’s Flick: “Coman & Neuer Didn’t Train Today, I’ll Decide Tomorrow”

Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick thought that his team were the same as the one that won the Champions League last season.

Speaking in a press conference (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Lazio, the 56-year-old German first spoke about any differences between this team and last year’s one.

There aren’t many. We are very satisfied with the last few challenges, even after the one against Lazio. Coman and Neuer didn’t train today, but we still have 30 hours.

I won’t say anything today, we’ll decide tomorrow morning. Coman, we hope to have him available.

He touched on if he would be willing to take the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.

If it’s offered, it means it’s harmless. But at the moment I don’t have to worry about it.

Flick spoke about the upcoming international break.

Kathleen Krüger, the team manager, is in contact with the players and the authorities, we don’t take risks.

He spoke about 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder Tiago Dantas.

We don’t have to decide now, he has made great progress. He’s an excellent player, we hoped he could do a few games with the U23.

If there’s a chance, he’ll get a few minutes on the pitch. Technically he is very strong, he has great qualities.

Finally, Flick spoke about 24-year-old German goalkeeper Alexander Nübel’s contract.

I don’t know the players’ contracts, I don’t know if there are any clauses.
