Lazio’s Inconsistent Covid-19 Test Results Trial Has Been Postponed by 10 Days

The trial concerning Lazio’s inconsistent Covid-19 test results has been postponed to the 26th March today.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, today’s hearing lasted only a few minutes as Lazio’s lawyer Gian Michele Gentile requested the postponement, which was granted by the president of the panel Cesare Mastrocola.

The new date has been set for Friday 26th March, at 11am local time. The Biancocelesti requested the postponement because club president Claudio Lotito was required to attend a Lega Serie A meeting regarding TV rights this morning.

Torino are pushing for Lazio to be given a 3-0 forfeit due to the fact that they fielded Ciro Immobile in the November 1st match, despite the fact that he tested positive to UEFA’s Covid-19 test on the 28th October.

Lazio argue that the test result was invalid and have Dr. Enrico Di Rosa as their witness, who authorized Dr. Ivo Pulcini to include Immobile in the squad list.
