Former Lazio captain Sebastiano Siviglia spoke highly of Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi and his style of football.
Speaking in an interview with Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today, the 47-year-old Italian spoke about the type of coaches that he likes.
I really like offensive coaches who practice vertical and pragmatic football. I love those who don’t put aesthetics before the goal, because in the end you have to be concrete.
I really like Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool, for example. As well as playing great football and always trying to get a result, he gives me the feeling that he is an empathetic leader. A bit like Simone Inzaghi.
Siviglia touched on Inzaghi’s style and their aspirations in Serie A this campaign.
I’ve just been to Formello to see Simone, he’s the new kid on the block. In the last four years he has achieved a lot of results through vertical and concrete football, because unproductive ball possession is of little use.
Inzaghi has a great ability to manage the squad, resources and make winning choices. In the starting 11, Lazio are one of the strongest teams in Serie A, I think that in the end they can qualify for the Champions League.
