As Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi reported earlier today, Leonardo Menichini’s Lazio Primavera side defeated Armando Madonna’s Inter Primavera 4-2 in the Coppa Italia Primavera Quarter-Finals. As a result, the Biancocelesti will face Hellas Verona in the Semi-Finals.
Goals came from 17-year-old Italian winger Simone Castigliani in the 7th minute, 18-year-old Spanish forward Raul Moro in the 26th minute and 42nd minute and 18-year-old Italian midfielder Marco Bertini in the 64th minute.
Lazio Primavera have now beaten Cosenza, Napoli, Atalanta and Inter in their path to the semifinals, and they’ll face Hellas Verona away next month.
The Biancocelesti will hope that today’s win will help galvanize them as they look to improve upon their position in the league table.
Menichini’s side currently sit 15th in the Campionato Primavera 1 after 15 games, six points above bottom place Ascoli.
Their next game is against Torino this weekend.
