Manuel Lazzari Left Lazio’s Champions League Fixture Against Bayern Munich Due to a Notable Injury

Lazio midfielder Manuel Lazzari suffered a notable injury during the second half of the team’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg fixture against Bayern Munich.

Lazzari collided with Bayern’s Serge Gnabry as he was seeking to claim possession against the German attacker. The Italian talent fell to the ground in pain as he appeared to have dislocated a finger.

Lazio’s medical staff worked with Lazzari for a few minutes before it was decided that he would be taken off the pitch as a result of his injury. Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi elected to bring on Marco Parolo for Lazzari.

Lazzari finished up recording 12 passes completed, two ground duels won and one tackle completed in 57 minutes of playing time in the match.

It remains to be seen on the severity of the injury and whether he will be able to feature in Lazio’s upcoming Serie A fixture against Udinese.
