Lazio got off to a promising start in its UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg fixture against Bayern Munich. Lazio did well early on when it came to maintaining possession and preventing Bayern from creating any clear-cut goal-scoring chances.

However, this was all for nothing as Bayern still found a way to score the opener. Following a foul by Vedat Muriqi on Leon Goretzka in the penalty box, Robert Lewandowski stepped up to the plate for a penalty attempt.

The current Bundesliga leading goal-scorer notched the attempt with ease for his fifth Champions League goal of the season.

Lazio now trails 5-1 on aggregate to the reigning Bundesliga winners.
