Formello: Lazio Wing-Back Lazzari Confirms Recovery; Will Start Against Udinese

Lazio wing back Manuel Lazzari completed the entirety of squad training today ahead of Sunday’s clash against Udinese.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, the 27-year-old Italian completed today’s training session in Formello with a bandage applied to the little finger of his left hand, bound with the ring finger to keep it stable.

Lazzari will be available for Sunday’s match against the Bianconeri, with yesterday’s tests revealing a dislocation, which was dealt with immediately at the Allianz Arena.

Mohamed Fares, the other player who came off injured against Bayern Munich, will be rested on Sunday and will not play. He has sprained his left knee, the same knee that was operated on at the start of last season.

Coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to start Felipe Caicedo and Ciro Immobile together up front, with Lucas Leiva, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto in the midfield. The wing backs will be Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marusic.

The lineup of the defense depends on the physical condition of Stefan Radu, as that determines where Francesco Acerbi will play in the back three.

If Radu is rested then Wesley Hoedt and Marco Parolo will battle for a starting spot in the centre, with Patric and Mateo Musacchio looking to start in the centre-right position.
