Lazio defender Luiz Felipe is expected to return to the pitch in time for the match against Hellas Verona next month.
According to a report from Italian broadcaster Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) earlier today, the 23-year-old Brazilian defender underwent ankle surgery on the 22nd January to help fix an injury that was suffered in a pre-season friendly against Frosinone.

Luiz Felipe has completed the first stage of his recovery process and will now leave Munich to fly for Rome, where he is expected to return to Formello to begin the final steps of his recovery.
Lazio have always been cautious regarding his return, but assuming everything goes to plan, then he should be fit enough to join the squad for the match against Hellas Verona on the 11th April, or the next match against Benevento a week later.

The player is an important part of coach Simone Inzaghi’s defense and could help the squad secure a top four finish in the race for Champions League qualification.
