Napoli Open Talks With Lazio Coach Inzaghi as Replacement for Outgoing Gattuso

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already contacted Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi regarding a possible job in the Campania capital.

According to a report from Italian media outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi earlier today, De Laurentiis is looking for a new coach to replace current incumbent Gennaro Gattuso at the end of the season, with the pair suffering a relationship breakdown this season and on the pitch results not impressing enough.

Napoli have shown their interest in Inzaghi and have already opened talks, but the 44-year-old Italian coach is taking his time regarding a decision.

A contract renewal with Lazio is still on the table, but Inzaghi does not want to make any hasty decisions. Joining Napoli allows him to remain close to his family, where as a foreign option would complicate things.
