Today is former Lazio captain Alessandro Nesta’s 45th birthday and the Biancocelesti posted a video on Instagram to celebrate.
The Italian started his career with Lazio as a nine-year-old in 1985, and he’d go on to make 261 appearances across all competitions for his beloved Biancocelesti, being a part of the successful squad that won a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia and a UEFA Super Cup, among other honors.
Lazio were forced to sell Nesta to AC Milan in 2002 due to financial issues, but the Italian has always remained a fan favourite in Rome.
