Italian Journalist Recanatesi Questions Some of Inzaghi’s Managerial Decisions in Lazio’s Fixture Against Udinese

Lazio came away with a 1-0 Serie A win over Udinese ahead of the start of the March international break. The Biancocelesti had multiple goal-scoring chances in the match, which was the case as well with Udinese. Still, Udinese failed to convert any of its 12 total shots for a goal.

Italian journalist Franco Recanatesi is satisfied with the result for Lazio. However, Recanatesi (via Cittaceleste) is questioning several managerial decisions that Simone Inzaghi made over the course of the match.

I am very disappointed. Very happy for the result, but not so much for the team and for some of Inzaghi’s choices.

I did not understand why at a certain point, he removed Immobile and Luis Alberto. To put Pereira and Akpa Akpro. But what signal is that? Maybe a retreat. I don’t think it has to do with the fact that they played in the Champions League.

At their age, it doesn’t change much if you play an extra half hour or less. After that change, the team never crossed the half-way line while Udinese besieged us.

While this performance from the Biancocelesti was far from flawless, the side still took home the three points in the end.
