Lazio Coach Inzaghi’s Father Giancarlo: “Napoli Is a Beautiful City With a Great Team”

Giancarlo Inzaghi, father of Lazio coach Simone and Benevento’s Filippo, highlighted that Naples was a beautiful city amidst the rumours that the Biancocelesti coach will be joining Napoli in the summer.

Speaking in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radio Kiss Kiss (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Giancarlo Inzaghi first spoke about the results on Sunday, where both his sons found three points.

It was a beautiful Sunday of celebrations, Simone also did well, other times they both lose, but they give me as a dad some great satisfaction.

Pippo and Simone are two extraordinary men. The thing that pleases me so much is their always correct behaviour, well beyond the result on the pitch.

Inzaghi commented on the current rumours that Simone may be joining Napoli at the end of the season after his contract expires with Lazio.

I will make a comment, Naples is a beautiful city and has a great team. You never know what will happen in life. Napoli have had problems with their squad and injuries like all teams.

De Laurentiis likes Simone and I’m very pleased about that. He has a temperamental nature but that’s fine. Napoli are a very strong team.

Lazio also have important players, maybe less than Napoli. I’ve often been to Naples for work.

Napoli if he doesn’t renew with Lazio? I repeat: Naples is a great city with a great team.

He joked about Simone Inzaghi’s contract renewal with Lazio.

Lotito has a bit of a long time. But we are satisfied, it’s a strange period. We’ll see what happens.

Finally, Inzaghi discussed how if Simone joined Napoli, then both his sons would be working in the Campania region.

True, I’ve been to Naples a lot for work and it’s a beautiful city. I remember Posillipo and many moments that characterised the days I spent in the city.
